Turn your ideas, priorities, and property into a landscape plan you can see, understand, and build.
LaBarge Landscape provides residential landscape design for new and existing homes throughout greater Albuquerque. We measure the property, listen to your ideas, develop a sketch or diagrammatic representation of the proposed yard, and prepare an estimate for the labor and materials included in the project.
Because LaBarge also installs landscapes, patios, walls, irrigation, xeriscaping, turf, and outdoor-living features, your design can move from concept to completed yard through one local company.
A Collection of Good Ideas Is Not Yet a Landscape Design
You may already know that you want:
A patio, shade, less grass, more privacy, a place for the children to play, a dog-friendly area, a fire pit, more color, better irrigation, and an easier-to-maintain yard.
The difficult part is determining where everything should go—and how the pieces should work together.
A thoughtful landscape plan turns a wish list into one coordinated outdoor space.
It considers movement, scale, water, sun, grade, materials, views, maintenance, and budget before installation begins

From Ideas to a Plan
LaBarge’s design process begins with a free on-site consultation. We’ll measure the property, listen to your ideas and prepare a sketch or diagram showing the proposed layout. You’ll also receive an estimate for the planned materials and labor.
Simple drawings are free, and you can keep your drawing. We can revise the concept as needed to address your feedback or budget. LaBarge does not provide 3D renderings.
For projects that need architectural or engineering drawings, LaBarge can help coordinate the appropriate professionals. We can also assist with permit and HOA approval processes when needed.
Design and Installation Together
LaBarge can design and install many of the features in your plan, including planting, irrigation, hardscaping, walls, turf and outdoor living areas. If you prefer to complete the work in stages, we can discuss how to phase the project during design and estimating.
Design without LaBarge installation may also be possible; ask about this during your consultation.
How Residential Landscape Design Works
Free On-Site Consultation
LaBarge meets you at your property to explore the existing landscape, discuss how you want to use the space, and understand your ideas, priorities, and budget. You can bring inspiration photos or examples of materials and features you like.
Property Assessment and Measurements
The team measures your yard and reviews important site conditions, including existing plants, hardscapes, access, irrigation, drainage, sunlight, views, utilities, and any features you want to retain or remove.
Landscape Concept and Estimate
Based on your goals and the property assessment, LaBarge prepares a proposal that may include a sketch or diagram of the new landscape. It also provides an estimate covering the recommended labour and materials.
Revisions, Approval and Scheduling
The design can be refined to address your feedback and budget. Architectural drawings can also be arranged for more complex projects. Once you approve the design and estimate, installation is scheduled according to the agreed scope.
